New Casino opens in Chile

The Chilean city of Los Angeles, capital city of the Biobío province in Chile, has opened its first Casino this week, which will be named “Gran Casino Los Angeles”. It will have an international category and is integrated into a great project which includes also a hotel with gymnasium, conference center and spa, with a total investment of 20 million dollars.

The city, which currently has a population of 166,556 people, expects an avalanche of visitors after the opening of the casino. Joel Rosales, major of Los Angeles, highlighted the importance of the "Gran Casino Los Angeles" opening, remarking the social benefits that it will bring to the area.

The casino will employ 180 people and it will be located next to the Los Angeles Mall Plaza, near the famous square “Plaza de Armas”, on an area of approximately 2,400 square meters.

The inauguration of this project has an important significance for private investment in Chile, since it is the first appearance of private investors into the Chilean casino industry which is currently under development.
